Your hair constitutes an important part of your look. A decent hairstyle can help you make a positive first impression. There are some simple tips as well as specialized cures like Brazilian Blow Dry Treatment but before we get there, let’s understand what exactly hair damage is.

What is hair damage?

Our hair has three layers – the innermost fiber is known as medulla, it is followed by cortex which surrounds the medulla, and then there is the outer layer which is called cuticle. It is this final layer which protects the hair from getting damaged.

When the cuticle gets ruptured, the hair loses their shine and become lusterless and dry. Some other symptoms of hair damage include breakage, split-ends, brittle or harsh texture, and itchy scalp etc. Also, the hair tends to become unmanageable once damaged.

How to undo the effects?

Although hair damage can be problematic, you don’t need to fret because there are a few ways which can greatly improve the condition of your hair and make them smooth and silky again. Following are the options which you can be considered for the same: -

  •      Using Treatments

One of the most effective ways of getting rid of damage is opting for specialized treatments that work exclusively on the damaged hair and help to make them healthy again. These are some examples of the treatments which can be beneficial for damaged hair: -

1.    Brazilian Blow Dry Treatment- It uses products containing keratin formula which bonds with your hair, and then creates a protective layer on the outer side. This layer provides protection from damage and also adds a shiny touch to the hair, thus providing you a healthy and smooth hair.

2.    Damage/Dry Remedy Deep Conditioning Treatment-This treatment strengthens your damaged hair strands with the help of proteins and lipids. Together, they target all the damaged hair sites to multiply your hair’s natural protection against damage.

  •    Trimming
Your hair tends to be the most damaged towards the tip because that portion has been around for the longest time and this means that it has been exposed to all the harmful substances for an extended duration. You can take the help of professionals for this purpose. They can assess the damage and then trim off the damaged part of your hair.

It is one of the most prevalent ways of saying goodbye to split-ends. However, if you don’t take any action, chances are that the problem will escalate and the damage might travel to the root of the hair.
  •   Distancing yourself from chemicals

As mentioned earlier, constant exposure to chemicals (bleach and hair color) can significantly harm your hair. Therefore, it is generally advised that people with damaged hair should not use such services. If someone with damaged hair continues to avail such services, things can go south for that person and the damage could be beyond repair.

From Brazilian Blow Dry Treatment to trimming; these are the various ways through which you can repair your damaged hair while making them look better than before.
